From the air we breathe is physical ecology in process. When you draw in the breath of life by sharing that air with all life on earth and other humans. Every few seconds we breathe through respiration in and out between ten to fifteen times in a minute. In this way we move enough air to and fro every day to inflate several thousand balloons. In this way the body extracts the oxygen needed from the air and discharges waste carbon dioxide from the blood. One -fifth of the air is oxygen. This is required by every cell in the body to release the energy that is blocked in food reserves. Many cells can survive for a period of time without oxygen, others need a constant supply, Brain cells die and cannot be replaced, if a lack of oxygen for more than a few mins .Supplying the cells of the body with oxygen in the responsibility of the respiratory and circulation systems. This natural process is controlled by the brain via the medulla oblongata in the brain stem, where messages concerning blood composition are integrated with other information ,regulating the proper breathing rhythm.
For any reason if there may be disturbances in the respiratory system that inhibit gas exchange in the lungs which will take charge in lowering bodies vitality and increase in metabolic disorders and degeneration of tissue.
Prevention of Respiratory Disease
There is a well-known saying you are what you eat, but you are also what we breathe. The body is a whole when any issues start with breathing it will not only affect other organs and body systems. When the lungs need to be treated, we need to assess the circulatory system which is closely associated to the respiratory system primarily related to heart and the circulation is relevant to the lungs. Other considerations should be looked into is the current condition of the digestive system and especially of the organs of elimination ,as the lungs share the role of eliminating waste from the bowels ,the urinary system and skin. If any of these body elimination channels develop problems, then the body compensates by increasing the load on the others. There are limits as to the amount of waste the lungs can put with.
Majority pathological changes in the tissue can be prevented if the environmental milieu of the cells in constantly rich in oxygen.
The amount of oxygen which the circulation supplies to the tissue is largely controlled by respiration.
Herbs for Respiratory system
The respiratory system can benefit from certain herbal remedies. Herbs can typically in a practical manner will activate of the mucous membranes and ensure that the gas exchange through these membranes can occur, they will activate the secretion of the lung tissue so that the air is sufficiently moistened, and the membranes protected they can increase neurological responses regulating breath, they can tone up circulatory system and ensure that the blood immersing the tissues properly and help stimulating the whole glandular.
