Contraindications:
Pregnancy and lactation (resulting from the presence of the potentially toxic component thujone because of thujone content in the essential oil

Side effects :
None expected if taken within recommended dose range
High doses of thujone (obtained from ingesting essential oil ) have caused convulsions and neurotoxicity in animals and humans .High doses of Thuja may cause headaches attributed to thujone content. The addictive syndrome known as absinthism (from liqueur absinthe) has been attributed to toxic effects of thujone .
Dosage:
1.5 ml to 3 ml of 1:5 liquid extract daily
Recommended dose 10 to 20 ml of liquid extract per week
